Lunch and Snack: Please bring a nutritious breakfast (if your child does not eat before arrival), lunch, and two snacks. When preparing a child’s daily beverages and/or food or snack in a larger container, such as a lunch bag, just the larger container has to be labeled with the child’s name and the date. Each individual item in the larger container does not have to be labeled with the child’s name and the date. These items need to be ready to serve. We do not heat food in the older toddler or preschool rooms.
Nap items: (blanket and crib sheet) must be clearly labeled with your child’s name and they need to fit in a zipper bag (small backpack). On your child’s last attendance day of the week the nap bag must be taken home, and washed for the next week.
Diapers and wipes: These items will be stored in the changing area. In order to apply over the counter type diaper cream or powder to a child we need an Nonprescription Medication Consent Form filled out completely by a parent/guardian. They should be labeled with the child’s name.
Toilet training: During the process of potty training it is necessary for our expectations to be consistent. Children need to become aware of when they need to use the potty.
Change of clothing: Please remember we have “messy play” (painting, sand, water play etc.) and that spills and smears are expected. Your child should be dressed in comfortable clothes and shoes that are appropriate for the weather. We go outside daily when weather permits. If your child is well enough to come to school then they are well enough to go outside.
